About Peter
Pete Smith is serving a first term on the County Council for the second time. He previously served on the County Council from 2012 to 2018 and was elected to be the Vice Chair in 2015. Pete has also previously served as the Military and Veterans Liaison for Anne Arundel County. Today he serves as a comptroller for the Department of Defense.
Pete has served in the United States Marine Corps for 24 years, with 13 years of active-duty service, and is an Intelligence Officer in the Marine Corps Reserves. He is a member of the American Society of Military Comptrollers and serves as the Toys for Tots Anne Arundel County Coordinator. Pete has two children Isabella and Tristan.
